Role: Design Adviser
In her role as Design Adviser, Sarah contributed to the development of central government guidance for sustainable educational estates and quality reviews, setting new standards for the transformation of further education (FE) colleges across the UK.
Sarah also worked directly with a number of colleges in the South West, including Bournemouth and Cornwall, to define project briefs, accommodation schedules, adjacency diagrams, and review proposals from architects and contractors. Each project was designed with a focus on community engagement, with students often serving their local communities through vocational courses. Sarah’s guidance ensured that each college met its specific needs while contributing positively to its local environment.
